Driver onboarding checklist

Before TowGo can activate your driver account, we need a few documents on file. This checklist covers the essentials.
Documents to upload
- Driver's license — front and back, current and valid.
- Vehicle registration — for the truck you'll be operating.
- Commercial insurance certificate — must list towing operations.
- Tow operator permit — if required in your state or municipality.
Background check
We run a background check as part of onboarding. It typically takes 1–3 business days. You'll get an email when it clears.
After activation
Once your documents are approved and your background check is clear, you'll see an Activate button on the driver app home screen. Tap it and you're online to accept tows.
